eTB PPM is targeted to be used by Government designated health practitioners. This application is not for use by public individuals and if they download then there is no use because a username and password is required to login and proceed which is only provided by National Tuberculosis Control Center (NTCC) for respective Spoke (of category Urban Volunteer or Pharmacy) and Hub (Health center or Lab). For those Hub and Spokes we have made our policy as clear as possible so that you can rest assured that you are in good hands.

1. Introduction to Privacy Practices For eTB PPM
National Tuberculosis Control Center (NTCC) and its program National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) is committed to respecting the privacy rights of all users (Hub and Spoke) of eTB PPM system and to protecting your personal/usage data. This policy describes how information about you may be used, how it may be disclosed and how you may access this information.

This page will serve as a policy of our privacy practices and a summary of your privacy rights.

We created this Privacy Policy page to give you confidence as you use eTB PPM application and to demonstrate our commitment to fair information practices and the protection of privacy.
This Privacy Policy is only applicable to the eTB PPM system usage. Your use of the application is governed by this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use. Since, you are not requiring registering via this mobile application no personal information about you is collected via this mobile application. By using this eTB PPM application you accept this Privacy Policy.
It is always advisable to use this application wisely and when prompted for permission accept it on your sole discretion.
Since you are designated health practitioner and already in the eTB ecoSystem you are part of the National Tuberculosis program committed to contribute on TB eradication program.


2. Information that may be collected
When registering possible TB cases you are asked allow recording your current location from where you are registering the case. This information is needed for mapping geographic distribution of cases and further track prevalence of TB cases throughout nation. It's always recommended that you opt to store location which will help getting patient location and thereby help government policy of prevalence identification.

However, in some cases may be due to lack of feature on your device to track location it may not be possible to record the location, in such situation the application will work as expected without problem. In such case those patient's location will be marked as not available.

3. Website Analytics
We don't use use any third party website analytics services in the application. On Android version of application we use Firebase Service for push notifications. These web services do not collect Personal Information. These services do not track your usage of application or anything else. 

4. How information about you may be used by eTB PPM
No personal information about you of any form are collected via this application because you are not signing-up for this application but using the login credentials provided by NTCC already created on existing system. While registering patient in the application you enter their personal details which is as per government set standard and are stored as per national data security standard on National Data Center.

We have a no-spam policy.

However, in other instances, non-personal information collected may be used for statistical analysis, improvement of services, and customization of application UI/UX design and services.


5. Applicability of prevailing state laws
By means of this privacy policy or other policies published as part of application don't supersede or override prevailing state law. We are government entity and established under Ministry of Health and Population are always committed to follow state law which will be attracted in any case there are conflict in between us.


6. Sharing of information
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share your information with third parties for any purposes .

We strictly do not share any private information regarding the patients you register to any other party. The information that you provide will be limited to you and National Tuberculosis Control Center for government program usage and nothing else.

7. User Choice and controlling Personal Information
You may choose not to provide us with any Personal Information. In such an event, you can still access and use the application; however opting out of providing patient registration location may affect government intention of knowing cases distribution throughout nation as well as tracing back the cases if location information is need.

You may choose not to share/store patient registration location by simply denying Permission prompt or navigating to Phone Settings and permission page. But in the eye of getting distribution of registered patient throughout geography collecting location will be very helpful and thus it is advisable to permit location storing. 


8. Security
We being government entity are strictly following government policies and standard for data-security and application development standard. Which require high level of security and firmly followed security conventions. The data-center for this application is reside within Government Integrated Data Center (GIDC), Kathmandu.  You make the choice of making your data available to consulting doctors. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Information. For example we use firewall security and different degree of encryption for your sensitive personal information.

When there are activities with patient related to you we might send notifications, reminders on your device solely for facilitating you to get update about the status of patient related to you.


9. Data Retention Policy
As per government policy and requirement the data related to patient registered will be stored as long as required. No information will be stored longer than pre-defined standard and will be erased immediately after fulfilling the purpose.

10. Request for Data Deletion
Since you are deputed by government for a purpose and you are collecting information on behalf of government program of Tuberculosis Control. In any situation you find the data stored need deletion, you can directly contact authority at National Tuberculosis Control Center (NTCC) or send an email on the contact address provided below.

11. Updates and Changes to this Privacy Policy
Protecting your privacy online is an evolving area, and National Tuberculosis Control Center (NTCC) is constantly evolving to meet these demands along with government set standards. We may update the Privacy Policy at times where government updates the standard as well as need to address something new. Whatever, be the changes the latest Privacy Policy is always published at this Policy page and the policy available is always upto date.
